Tuesday, 1 October – Exmouth

The place is packed because it’s school holidays. Don’t like school holidays any more. Can’t wait until they’re finished.

It’s a bit cooler down here with a max of only 32 today. We stuck our feet in the sea and also noticed the water is slightly cooler but still very nice for a swim.

Good news is that at last, after more than 3 months on the road, we can purchase 4 litre wine casks and port in casks.  That'll help with the fivesies budget.

We had a couple of snorkelling trips to the Ningaloo Reef further along the road. We snorkelled at beautiful Turquoise Bay and the Oyster Stacks. I bought a cheap underwater camera at Tricky Dickies to photograph the fish and coral. Obviously a cheap camera doesn’t do the place justice but it does give an indication of what’s there.

Another day trip was up into the Cape Range NP to see the gorges and views of the coastline.
